Hey everyone! I hope you’re having a great week! Today’s post is going to be about two products that have disappointed me recently. I’m not a big fan of doing posts like these because I hate being so negative about makeup products but I feel like others need to know my issues just in case they’re wanting to try the same products! So, if you want to see what products I’m not a big fan of and why I don’t like them, just keep reading!
The first product I didn’t have good luck with is the GlamGlow PowerCleanse Daily Dual Cleanser. I have always heard amazing things about GlamGlow and when I found this cleanser at my local Marshall’s, I thought why not? It was discounted and in perfect condition. So, I got it and tried it out for a week straight. My main issue with this is that it made my skin unbelievably dry… and I have oily skin! I had to stop using it because my skin started to get dry patches on my chin and not even my moisturizer could help! It comes with a dual-pump that has one side as a serum and the other as the exfoliator. I could tell that it got most of my makeup off but I have way better cleansers that do the exact same job and don’t dry out my skin. I was very sad that I wasn’t able to work well with this product because I had really high hopes for it. I don’t think I’ll be trying any other products from GlamGlow because I can’t afford the high price tag. I don’t recommend this product for any skin type. It wouldn’t work well at all for people with dry skin and it didn’t work well with my oily skin. I don’t really get who this cleanser was made for. The Cerave Hydrating Cleanser works well with all skin types and is cheaper!
The next product that didn’t work for me is the Ponds Original Fresh MoistureClean Towelettes. I’m all for trying new products that are good alternatives or maybe work better for my skin. I had heard a couple good reviews on the Ponds Facial Creams so I figured the makeup remover wipes would be good too. Unfortunately, I was wrong. These made my eyes burn and they left a weird film on my skin after I used them. I feel like they got barely any makeup off my skin. I’ll definitely be sticking to my Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes! It’s sad that they don’t work considering the package I got of them has 100 in it! I know that Ponds has different types of their makeup removing wipes so maybe the others would be better but I won’t be trying them. I’d rather buy products that I know for a fact would work instead of continuously trying ones that won’t. Sadly, these are a no from me!
