Hello makeup lovers! I mentioned in a previous post that I was going to make a post about my favorite drugstore priced concealers and this is it! I am always looking for good drugstore products that are also cruelty free. All of these products are under $10 too! I have combination, acne prone skin. Surprisingly, there are both dewy concealers and more matte concealers in my favorites. So, if you are interested in finding out what my top 3 favorite concealers are and why I recommend them, just keep reading!
This list is not in any order because it all depends on how my skin feels on that certain day. Above is the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Concealer ($3.99). I use the lightest shade, light ivory. Unfortunately, when I am at my lightest in the winter, I won’t be able to use this product. It is still slightly too dark to be considered the lightest shade. I really hope they come out with a wider range of colors because of how popular it is. The reason why I like this concealer so much is because in my opinion, it is similar to the Tarte Shape Tape that everyone raves about. I actually prefer the Wet N Wild concealer of the Tarte one. I think this one has the same amount of coverage, but it feels lighter to the skin. I can sometimes use too much of the Shape Tape to the point of my face looking cakey. Both cover acne the same amount. The Wet N Wild one has a more matte finish so it is perfect to use under dewy or matte foundations because it will either not make your face greasy, or it will add to the matte aspect of the foundation. I am actually almost out of this concealer which is amazing for me because I never finish concealers!
My next favorite concealer is the Ulta Full Coverage Liquid Concealer ($9). I know you can’t find this in a typical drug store but it is on the Ulta drug store side. Plus, it’s under $10! There are 8 shades in this concealer so it is better than Wet N Wild but it’s still not the best range. This is the most dewy concealer I own. If you have dry skin, I HIGHLY recommend you try this one out. Because I already have combination skin, I do have to powder my foundation with this concealer. It covers acne and under-eye dark circles really well while also hydrating the skin. I don’t have to apply a lot of it in order to cover up anything either. It’s probably the creamiest concealer that I own too. I don’t think this concealer is a dupe for any higher end ones. I think it is very unique and is definitely worth a try.
Lastly is my most recent addition to my collection. This is the Colourpop No Filter Concealer ($6). I use the shade Fair Neutral 10. There are 15 shades to their color range and I love it! I have even seen people use this concealer as a foundation. It has a matte finish but I think it’s more of a comfort matte formula. It is very light-weight on the skin. It blended out SO well. I definitely understand the “no filter” claim it has. I do think these are dupes for the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. It has a similar applicator as well. I don’t really have anything bad to say about this product! I think it can be good for all skin types and works well with all of the foundations I’ve tried with it so far. The packaging on this concealer is my favorite out of my top 3 favorites. I think it has a very classic look to it. I do recommend going one shade lighter than you normally are. I’m usually in the light shade complexion range instead of fair but I read reviews on how it does oxidize a little throughout the day. Because I got Fair Neutral 10, it matches me perfectly.
That’s all for my top 3 favorite drugstore priced concealers! I truly think that drugstore brands are stepping up their game with new products. I’m starting to prefer more drugstore products over higher-end products! I think each concealer I recommended will work with most skin types; I just wish there was a wider range from some brands. If you have any recommendations for other concealers or you own one of my top favorites, let me know!
