Hey everyone! I know I have been MIA lately… I started college! I moved an hour and a half away from home and I drove back right after classes ended. I had the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette waiting on me when I got home! I have honestly been looking forward to it all week. I know everyone has seen this palette all over their social media; it has caused a lot of attention. I have wanted this in my collection ever since I saw the colors! I even mentioned it in my recent Wish List post. So, if you want to see my thoughts on the palette, just keep reading!
First off, I think the packaging is so cute! I love sleek white palettes. The only bad thing is that they get dirty really easily! I think the names of the eyeshadows are perfect too! After watching her video on why she named them what she did, I could tell that she spent a lot of time on them. This palette is definitely very personal and unique to Jaclyn. Everyone has complained about the eyeshadow names not being on the actual palette but I have seen many just tape the name card to the inside of the palette. It’s a quick fix!
Now onto the most important thing, the shadows! I LOVE the colors in this palette. There is a perfect mix between everyday shades, to darker ones, and then some fun blues and purples! It is so worth the $38! Plus, if you use any of those dreaded Morphe affiliate codes.. you can get 10% off! I love the way the colors are organized in the palette, too. I think every palette needs a nice white shade and a deep, dark brown or black. This palette has both! By just looking in the palette, you can tell that Diva and 24/7 are a little more sparkly than the other shimmers. I can tell the 2nd row of shadows will be my most used. They are so creamy and pigmented! I did not take pictures of my swatches because I did not want to swatch every color. Everyone has seen the swatches already. I just can’t wait to play with it more and make cool looks! I know the more exciting shades in it will help me get out of my comfort zone!
Thank you guys for reading! I know the reviews might sound repetitive on this palette but it really is amazing! I think Jaclyn did an amazing job with this palette. I can’t wait to see what else she comes up with in the future! What do you guys think of the palette? Do you own it or plan to get it? Let me know!
