Hi guys! Today I’m posting about my ColourPop haul! I’ve been feeling very stressed lately and was definitely in need of some retail therapy…. more specifically, makeup therapy. They were also offering certain items on sale so that definitely helped my bank account! To see what makeup I bought, just keep reading!
This is the product I was most excited about! ColourPop was having a sale on their highlighters, instead of $8, they were $6! Above is the Super Shock Highlighter in Flexitarian. Colourpop’s description says it is pearlized with champagnes and silvers. I saw swatches of this, which is usually what gets me to buy something, and they were amazing! It didn’t look like it would cause a white stripe on my face, even though I have had that problem in the past with silvery tones.
I have always heard how soft the ColourPop Super Shock formula was but I could never get myself to buy one of them. Flexitarian is such a unique and beautiful shade; I have nothing like it. The formula is so creamy! If you press into it a little too hard, it will actually make a dent in it. I think that’s good though, it shows how pressed in the product is. I think this shade would also look great as an inner corner highlight or just all over the lid. The pictures honestly don’t do it justice. I couldn’t get the sun to truly show how blinding it looks! It does have some glitter in it, which might turn some people off, but I don’t mind because it isn’t an overpowering amount. I can’t wait to wear it!
Above is the ColourPop X iluvsarahii Ultra Satin Lip in 951 ($6). It is described as a warm-toned nude. I have always been obsessed with the Ultra Satin formula. It looks matte but is actually very hydrating, plus they stay on for many hours. I have been on the hunt for a shade like this that could help transition from summer colors to fall colors and I think I found it!
It is pink enough to work for a quick summer lip but also mauve enough to match the warm shades of the fall. For $6, it’ll work for me! This was the one product from the iluvsarahii collection that I was the most interested in just because I love these types of colors! I did think it was going to be a little lighter based off of the website’s swatches but lipsticks look different on everybody so I’m not complaining.
I also got the matching lip liner pencil! This is the ColourPop X iluvsarahii Lippie Pencil in 951 ($5). I have never tried this brand’s lip liners but I have seen many reviews on them. They come in a white matte container that you can sharpen like a wooden lip pencil. I am really not a fan of wooden lip pencils because they break on me easily.
The lippie pencil is exactly the same shade as the lipstick. I can already tell that I will use this pencil for all my nude lip looks. It swatches so easily without having to press hard. It doesn’t seem drying or like it’ll make your lips have cracks in them. You also get a lot of product for what you pay. I hope the point of the pencil doesn’t become dull to where I can’t get an exact application, but that is what sharpening is for.
I am really excited that I could get three items, with shipping, for under $20! That’s rare in the makeup industry. ColourPop is a very reliable brand. I have never had an issue with their products! They are also CRUELTY FREE! ColourPop has just recently come out with brushes and concealers so I will have to try them soon. They are definitely a brand to watch for!
Thank you for reading! Have you tried any of the Super Shock products from ColourPop? What’s your favorite product from them? Let me know!
