My Top 5 Favorite Eyeshadow Palettes

pic of open palettes

Today I will be talking about my top five FAVORITE eyeshadow palettes! This was very hard to do but honestly I think I made the right decisions. These are in no particular order! I would never be able to actually rank my palettes! As you can tell, I love my warm tones! I just can’t stay away from them. The things I look for in an eyeshadow palette are the following:

  • to be able to do a complete look, I don’t like jumping from palette to palette!
  • to have a white/bone colored matte shade to set my primer
  • to have a dark matte color (blacks, browns, purples) to be able to deepen up the look

If you’re interested in my top five favorite palettes, just keep reading!

fiona stiles paletteFirst up is my Fiona Stiles #MistakeFreeMakeup Eyeshadow Palette ($39). The Fiona Stiles brand is currently being redone so all of her products are on sale at Ulta! Many are sold out by now, unfortunately. Now onto the actual palette! I never see anyone talking about this palette or brand so I thought this would be the perfect time to mention it on my blog! This palette is definitely a little more cool toned. It has gorgeous purples and shimmers. These are very pigmented and you only need to dip your brush in once to get the right amount. Fiona Stiles designed this palette so that the top row of shades look similar to the colors of the “warm, intoxicating Sunset Strip” and the bottom row looks like the colors of the “cool, chic downtown vibe of Bowery Nights.” Not sure what that means but I’m okay with it because these shadows are incredible! I like to apply the shimmer shades with my finger or wetting my brush with setting spray. This palette was designed so you can use these shadows wet or dry! I like to use the deep purple shade as eyeliner just for something different. I love this palette and highly recommend it!

carli bybel palette

Next up is the Carli Bybel x BH Cosmetics eyeshadow and highlighting palette ($14.50). This is the original one before she added new shades! I wasn’t sure about the BH Cosmetics eyeshadow formula but I love it! They are so pigmented! There is some kick up with the shadows but that doesn’t bother me. I apply the shimmer shades with my finger, they’re more pigmented that way. I wish there was one more lighter transition shade but for the price, I really can’t complain! Once I finish this palette, I will probably buy the newest version. I can create my go-to brown/gold looks and some purple/pink looks that help me go outside of my comfort zone. I love it!

tartelette in bloom palette

The third palette is definitely a cult favorite. It’s the Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Palette ($46). This is a warm toned lovers dream. It has 9 mattes and 3 shimmers. I love this palette so much that the word “tarte” that is pressed into every eyeshadow is basically gone! I always find myself reaching for this palette. It was my first high-end palette so it is very special to me. You can create so many look with it! Each row is designed to be able to create a look, or you can mix and match! I recommend this palette to all makeup lovers, new or experienced. It is worth every penny!

tarte maneater palette

This is the newest addition to my eyeshadow collection and it is already up to my favorites! I just recently did a Makeup of the Day post with this palette so you can see my more in depth thoughts on it there! This is the Tarte Maneater Eyeshadow Palette ($29). It was limited edition so it is unavailable now, sadly. This is a quick and easy palette to use. There are 5 mattes and 3 shimmers. I can create deep, dark looks or an everyday shimmery look. It really comes in handy and is great for traveling! I love that it comes with a mirror too! Most of my favorites do. I really love this palette!

chocolate bar paletteMy last palette is probably a palette that most makeup lovers own. It is the Too Faced Original Chocolate Bar palette ($49). I remember saving up for this palette and being motivated to work more hours just so I could buy it! It is amazing and it smells like chocolate too! These eyeshadows stay on my eyes ALL day! That rarely happens for me. I don’t normally use the purple tones because I find that they are not as pigmented as the rest. Salted Caramel and Milk Chocolate are my favorite transition shades EVER! It is always easy with this palette. I never have to think about what eye look I want to create, it kind of just happens. This is a palette that I will purchase over and over again because I don’t think I could ever NOT have it in my collection. It is amazing!

That’s it for my Top 5 Faves! I know they all look similar in colors but I can create such different looks with them! Eyeshadow is my favorite part of my makeup routine because the possibilities are endless with what looks you can do. I recommend all of these palettes!

Tell me what you think if you own any of these! Thank you for reading! Xx
